Issho, more commonly known by his alias Fujitora, is a Marine admiral. He was conscripted into the Marines through a World Military Draft during the two-year timeskip along with fellow newcomer Ryokugyu, both filling the the two vacancies in the admiral positions caused by Kuzan leaving the Marines and Sakazuki becoming fleet admiral. Issho was first mentioned by Sakazuki when the latter was first discussing plans to deal with Monkey D. Luffy and Trafalgar Law. His following mission and actions on Dressrosa made him the first admiral to make an appearance after the timeskip and the secondary antagonist of the Dressrosa Arc. Much like Kuzan, Issho is strongly against the Marines' dogma of "Absolute Justice" and extremely vocal in his opposition of it. What Makes One Piece So Different From Naruto And Bleach?

Out of the big three anime's, One Piece has kept its momentum going since its first episode. Naruto, on the other hand, had perhaps one of the greatest runs from any anime but it failed to end well and felt a bit too rushed. Bleach? It also started off amazingly, but the story transitioned so badly after the first half, that the anime was canceled prematurely.

One culprit for this could be the fact that it was obvious the author had given up on the show. Tite Kubo personally said that he was no longer interested in writing Bleach and wanted to move on as quickly as possible. This reflected in the manga and anime as well as the show tumbled and the story ceased to make sense anymore. Masashi Kishimoto also said that he no longer wanted to write Naruto. The same happened for that show and it also rushed toward the end.

Eiichiro Oda, however, loves writing One Piece and is so devoted to it that he has already envisioned what the ending will be like. Even 700 anime episodes and almost 800 manga chapters in, it doesn't seem like he's in any rush to put the show in its coffin. For that reason, the show remains one of the most exciting manga and anime in the industry and remains as number one in Japan. Since 1997, One Piece has sold approximately 320 million copies. Coming second is Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball, with 230 million.

Not to say that Kishimoto and Kubo were not committed to their stories, but Oda has portrayed exactly what it is to devote your life to your craft and it has translated well with One Piece.

For example, character development in Naruto and Bleach has been a problem and many of the series' most influential characters were forgotten for the sake of story progression. Oda, on the other hand, has involved most, if not all, the characters in One Piece in the progression of the story. One Piece has become a paragon of character development done the right way.

Because of character development, fans feel more involved with the story. Thanks to the story's length and balance, it also feels as if you have been alongside the Strawhats in their quest for One Piece.
